Anticipating Success

Preparation and final checks, akin to rehearsals and dress rehearsals in the theatre, can significantly enhance your chances of success when it is time to give your performance; whether that is a speech, presentation or pitch. Making and taking the time to mentally and physically prepare can pay dividends.

Anticipating Success

Once the preparation is done, the event played out in the mind many times over and the technical check completed, all we can do is wait for the figurative curtain to rise on our scheduled performance.

Those few moments alone, in the meeting room, classroom or wherever the event is to take place, allows us to get comfortable with the location and mentally place our planned undertaking on the designated stage.

Inevitably surprises will occur, yet provided our preparation has been thorough any resulting disruptions to our efforts will be minimal.

After breathing in the moment of anticipation, visualizing one last time a successful endeavour, we can with a cheery smile – if appropriate to the situation – get the performance underway.
